Overview

Beto is a voice-powered mobile copilot designed to help older adults use smartphones safely and confidently. The app simplifies everyday interactions with technology while actively protecting users from digital scams and fraud attempts.

Beto listens, understands, and assists through a simple conversational interface in natural Argentine Spanish. At the same time, it monitors on-screen context to detect suspicious patterns such as urgent money requests, fake family impersonation scams, phishing links, verification code requests, and remote-control app installation attempts.

When a potential scam is detected, Beto calmly warns the user using a clear and friendly voice interface, explains why the situation may be dangerous, and offers immediate actions like contacting a trusted family member with a single tap.

The platform is designed specifically for seniors, with large buttons, accessible interactions, voice-first UX, and minimal complexity.

Problem

Older adults are increasingly targeted by sophisticated digital scams through messaging apps, phone calls, and social engineering attacks. These scams exploit urgency, fear, and emotional trust, often causing financial and emotional damage before victims realize what happened.
